RECOMMENDED RESOURCES FOR SPOUSES OF

MEN OF PEACE SELF-PACED COURSE PARTICIPANTS

As you pursue your own safety and sanity, we recommend you take advantage of the following victim care resources:

Victim Support Ministries

·       Leslie Vernick/Conquer

·       Focus Ministries

Local Resources

Depending on your readiness and the danger/potential danger you are experiencing, you may consider seeking out community resources. Your local domestic violence shelter should be able to provide a variety of resources even if you are not seeking shelter at this time. They will be able to help you identify qualified counselors in your area trained in abuse intervention and victim care and should be able to provide you with additional advocacy including help in evaluating your situation, developing a safety plan, and identifying practical solutions to any obstacles you may currently be facing.

Emergency Resources

If you are in a crisis situation please call 911 and/or contact The National Domestic Violence Hotline either by using their live online chat option or by calling 1.800.799.SAFE (7233). For more information on what to expect when you contact The National Domestic Violence Hotline, click here.
